TOOTD: Everyday Sparkle

Thursday is enough of a special occasion to sport some sequins.

Now more than ever we need dopamine dressing, A.K.A. maximalist style. Maybe memories of the pandemic make it hard for you to go out. Maybe you’re just getting a little older and your low-key hangs require less and less of a grand entrance. Or maybe you’re me and own more than enough sparkling pieces someone could wear in a single lifetime and would rather be accused of being “extra” than let them go unworn.

This is in essence the story behind this look. The Eloquii skirt (a ThredUp find) evoked some celebratory vibes and I decided to keep that going with bubblegum pink boots.

This look is also proof that sometimes an unlikely color combo works hard, like camel and pink. I love how the warmth of the coffee color pairs with the sugary sweetness of candy pink. It’s not a palette you’ll see on everyone, which is exactly why it’s worth trying.
